I pray for who has been touched by this disorder;I pray God give you the courage to carry on and take care of your loved one.You deal with a lot of emotions but I know when you cry out to God;He is right there. You are not alone.I will be praying for you and with you.(The creator of this group;Erica Jackson-Myles).

Hey Kelly, our doctor for Benjamin was Dr. Tina Caudill here in Douglasville. She recently moved but there are several in the surrounding area. Just google and make sure you check their credentials. It took us week's before we picked her. Best of luck to you.

Hello my son who is 6 has been diagnosed with mild autism. I must admit at first it was a challenge but thanks to great doctors, a great set of grandparents, and most of all a caring and loving wife, I have learned to understand the situation and it has not stopped me from me and my son having a normal relationship. There are good days and bad but I still treat him as if he is a kid who is going through the same things I did. After learning patience which is most important we have come to a point where now we can work to make his life more simple and more fun. Thank you for having this wonderful group so that I can learn more and share experiences.

Hi. I just wanted to let everyone know that they've moved my daughter to 1st grade full-time because she was doing so well in her transitional class. I'm not sure what happens as far as the grade she'll be in next year because she just started 1st grade full time last week but, I'm almost certain she'll be moving to 2nd grade as long as she continues to progress well in the 1st grade.

Maybe you'll be able to give me some incite Wynathia since you're and educator. Thanks and, just wanted to share that information with you all.

Hello and greetings to you.The reason why I taking this time to say May God continue to strengthen you and keep you.A update on my son;he started to work on 1-5-09 @ Pheobe Putney Hospital. This is said to keep you encouraged and pray and always love your child with the special need. One advice that God and educators have told me;don't treat them special treat them like you treat your other children.I make my son wash dishes, clean his room, take out the trash.and when he needs to be punished he gets things taken away;like tv,games, etc. To all parents and caretakers I will be lifting you and your children up in pray.I know for sure PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!!!!!! Be blessed.
