Has anybody seen our dearest friend T-Baby that gave us liquids to drink when we just couldn't or didn't want to leave the park and go all the way home just for our parents to say you are home for the day?!!!!!

Rick, ol' Bo Didley nicknamed you "Lil Bit" he called me "62-pounder" man that sucked, I'll take "Lil-Bit" over "62-Pounder" any day! Now I'll tell you what was funny, "Bo Didley" being "Bo-legged" & "Piegon-toed" at the same time! lol. I really miss all the "Lil Chants we(the players) and the Cheeleaders used to do. Rick, I still say "Patrick Mosely(Brinson's Bro') droped that game winning TD against us in that last game of the '81 season! ol' Greg Heard brought us back in that game against "Holmes Boys" bomging them out to "Roger Drake"

How in d heck do you remeber all that Vincent. Its all correct but my memory does not normally go back that far. Boddiley use to call me "Lil Bit" and that name stuck wit me on and off till I got out of high school. Dan and Bo was some good people.

Champ, you know I don't forget anything, Yeah I remember "Snowflake, he was our only caucasian brotha' playing at Shackleford, he played center until his folks moved outta town. Semmi Davis was on that team, I remember that game cause Randy Stephens had a big run on us to help them win, I never forget ol' Tony Jenkins taunting us after they won. We all cried after we lost and Dan preached to us that that's what happens when you don't come to practice and wasn't going to be anymore no-practice get to play. I had to sit out that yr. with a bad foot injury, but I was at every game cheering ya'll on. We thumped Thornton Gym in the playoffs with their supposely superstar team. Dan used to take ankle wrap tape and dye it and make the lines on our helmets. I never forget "Bo Diddley" game day attire:white-white canvas low top chuck taylors converse All-Stars, starch down white levi's, grey sweater, baseball cap, that mustache and those intense Eyes! Dan always refered to our best play as our"Bread & Butter"!

That next year the 82 Buccaneer's won the championship. The only game we lost was against Coach Holmes. We had Bear, Milas Polite, Faundra, Michael Young, Kelvin Polite, MilkBone(I think). My memory is not as good as yours. We also had "Snowflake". Remember him.

'81 Buccaneer's(11-12yr.old's) coached by Dan James and "Bo Diddley". We went 5-3 that yr. Bo Diddley( I never knew his real name) nicknamed me "62 pounder" ' cause that's all I weighted with uniform on when the avg. player weighted 85-90lbs. without uniform. We had Clarence King/Faundra Wilson & Greg Heard plyin' QB for us, Tyree Blakley at TE, Richard Rollins at RB Johnny "Bear" Mcleod at WR, he scored everytime he ran the reverse cause no onew could catch him. We wore the Miami Dolpins teal & orange jersey that yr. "Shug & "Redd" were two of our Cheerleader's. Our biggest rivarly was Coach Holmes "Hand Picked" team. They always cheated. You were tough if you dare played for Shackleford 'cause it had the hardest toughest lil' S.O.B's that ever lached up some cleats!...Mama boy's went up to Thorthon Gym Field to play.!
