- About Me:
- Hello All! My name is Ausha and I am a very ambitious individual. My entire family (the Roquemore's) are educators, so education is very important to me. I recently received my Masters Degree in Management w/ a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness from Troy University and am currently working on my doctoral degree at Walden University. I currently work as an Economic Specialist at Albany State University. I am also the Owner/President & CEO of Creative Solutions Enterprises, LLC, a small business coaching and consulting firm. As a Certified Coach in Small and Minority Entrepreneurship Development, I assist aspiring entrepreneurs in identifying unique and creative opportunities in starting and marketing their own businesses.
I am also a strong advocate for teen pregnancy prevention. Recently, I launched my non-profit, Breaking Barriers Inc., which promotes whole and healthy families and encourages teen parents to stay in school, teaches them valuable life skills, and helps them become sulf-sufficient. I am very passionate about working with young families because I became a teen parent at the age of 15. I hope that my life can be used as a testimony to inspire young parents to push past life's obstacles, pursue their dreams, and make wise choices that can them become productive and successful individuals.
My family is very close and means the world to me. My priorities are God first, family second, and career third. Being a great mother to my 10-year-old son, Samuel, and nurturing him physically, mentally, and spiritually is very important to me. Juggling the demands of being a single parent, school, work, and life in general hasn't been easy, but when I need some perspective on life I try to remember two things: 1) things could be worse, and 2) God wouldn't have put me here if He didn't think I could handle it. With that said, I try to remain humble, take one day at a time, and cherish each moment with the ones I love most.
