About Me:: I cannot begin any "About Me" category without speaking about my 3 wonderfully complicated children. I have a 20 year old son Tres (Edward III) who is a walking dichotomy who is as conflicted as he is compassionate and will do great things for humanity once he figures it all out, a 13 year old princess (Tiaerra) who is the light of my world and manipulates me mercilessly and openly, an 11 year old "old soul" Kweisi who is one of those folks that will always make the right decision even when it is the wrong decision because favor just shines on that kid. I was married for a few years to a great woman that helped me grow into a man, hopefully and prayerfully a man that will be a bigger compliment to society and humanity than I am a detriment.

I am currently living in Marietta Georgia where I work as a Network Engineer at a midsize IT services company. I enjoy a plethora of things but mostly those things that are peaceful and enlightening; such as reading a really good book, watching my children figure out the complexities of life at a rate much faster than I did, and listening to music that soothes my soul and enriches my mind. I was an active volunteer for the Barack Obama for President campaign and it was a fulfilling endeavor, watching my son cast his first vote in such a monumental and pivotal election was a jubilant moment for me and knowing that he cast his vote armed with a far-reaching insight of the issues was a testament to the true power of Barack Obama, his ability to convey to everyday citizens that change is possible but it begins internally, "know thyself" and your environment. And we, "us melanin enriched folks", should know we are a great people, and we were great before November 4th 2008. Things will only get better from here.

It is great to see some of you that I have not seen since the mid 80s, and others that I have had the privilege of seeing periodically over the years.
