- About Me:
- I am currently working in Athens, GA as an assistant principal at Fowler Drive Elementary School. I taught mathematics for six years at Dougherty High, my alma mater, in Albany and then moved to Athens where I taught for three years at Clarke Central High. I made the move to elementary school three years ago, and I'm loving it! I also teach math at night at Gainesville State College. I received my B.A. in mathematics at Albany State, my Master's in mathematics education from UGA, and my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to math, I teach African Dance, in honor of Mrs. Phyllis Driskell-Cooley, who first taught me. Be blessed!

Demetrius Young said… - All is well Melanie. We are hanging in there and keepin' it movin'. Mom lived a good, wonderful and meaningful life. So while it was sad for sure we were still rejoicing. It actually allowed alot of us to see people we hadn't seen in years. We almost had enough to do a Mt. Pilgrim Junior Choir Reunion (LOL).
